About the role:

As a Leadership & Behavioural Skills Trainer at the Academy for Experiential Learning (AEL), you will be instrumental in shaping our participants’ leadership qualities and behavioural competencies. Your key responsibilities will include:

Responsibilities:

  • Program Design and Development: Develop comprehensive training programs on leadership and behavioural skills. Ensure training materials are current, relevant, and aligned with industry best practices and AEL’s standards.
  • Training Delivery: Facilitate engaging and impactful training sessions for various audiences, including corporate clients, educational institutions, and non-profit organizations. Utilize a variety of training methodologies to accommodate different learning styles and preferences.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Conduct pre-training assessments to identify participants’ needs and tailor the programs accordingly. Provide detailed, constructive feedback to participants to aid in their personal and professional growth.
  • Safety and Risk Management: Ensure all activities are conducted safely and in accordance with AEL’s safety protocols. Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to minimize potential hazards during training sessions.
  • Coaching and Mentoring: Offer participants one-on-one coaching and mentoring, helping them apply learned skills in real-world situations. Support participants in setting and achieving their leadership and personal development goals.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other facilitators and AEL staff to deliver cohesive and integrated training programs. Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to continuously improving AEL’s offerings.
  • Logistics and Coordination: Assist in the logistical planning and execution of training events, including site setup, materials preparation, and scheduling. Coordinate with vendors and partners to ensure smooth operation of training activities.
  • Professional Development: Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in experiential learning and team building. Attend professional development workshops and training sessions to enhance facilitation skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications in Training, Facilitation, or Experiential Learning is a plus.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in training, facilitation, or a related role is required. Proven experience designing and delivering team-building and leadership development programs is also desirable. Experience working with diverse groups, including students, corporate teams, and educators, is also highly desirable.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate participants.Excellent facilitation and presentation skills, with a dynamic and engaging delivery style. Ability to create and adapt training materials to meet the specific needs of different groups. Strong organizational and planning skills, with attention to detail. Ability to conduct risk assessments and ensure safety during training activities. Proficiency in using various training tools and technologies.
